Operation Lifeline
STAR software is also known as (operation lifeline) is a special monitoring service that can be offered to your citizens that are elderly and reside alone or have special needs. Volunteers in conjunction with the public safety or sheriff's office to check on the safety and well being of all participants, will call all particpants in this program on a daily basic. If contact cannot be made with participants by telephone, a officer will be immediately dispatched to the resident. Once the application for this service has been received, an officer will contact the applicant for orientation.
In an attempt to furthur serve the needs of the elderly, who are designated as being 'at risk', has initiated a program called STAR 'System for Tracking At-Risk People'.
The goal of this program is to idenify, ahead of time, persons who may require special attention because of a disability and particularly those who may be prone to wander away from family members or care-givers.
